• How much Retinol is in your products?

  RoC uses the highest standard of pure, stabilized Retinol in our Retinol Correxion products, which are known to be highly effective with clinically proven results. The exact percentage of retinol varies across our line.

• How long will my products last before expiring?

  If there is no expiration date or PAO (Period after opening) symbol on the product then the product should be discarded 3 years after purchase.

• Do you test on animals?

  We do not test on animals anywhere in the world.

• Are your products safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?

  We always recommend talking to your doctor before starting a new skincare regimen when you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

RETINOL

• What is retinol?

  A derivative of vitamin A, retinol reduces the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles while complementing the skin’s natural processes to diminish the appearance of pore size. The RoC brand pioneered stabilized retinol for skincare use. It’s also the #1 dermatologist-recommend age-fighting ingredient.

• What does retinol do for your skin?

  Retinol works deep within the skin’s surface to reveal renewed, fresher looking skin. As we age, skin’s renewal process slows down, and skin becomes duller. • How should I start incorporating retinol in my skincare routine?

  If you’re new to using Retinol, we suggest slowly introducing it into your routine. We encourage you to follow the package instructions and always suggest you patch test our products in a small area first. Start with one product, applying every other day for the first two weeks. Here are some ways to make the most of its benefits:

  START EARLY - Early use of Retinol products can actually help to combat the appearance fine lines and wrinkles before they become apparent, so your skins stays looking younger and healthier.

  START SLOWLY - When you start with Retinol, minor skin irritation may occur- that’s normal. So, begin with a small amount every other day for about two weeks. Then, gradually increase usage.

  SLEEP ON IT - Take advantage of your skin’s night renewal process by making RoC RETINOL products a part of your nighttime regimen.

  STICK WITH IT - It is most important to be consistent – benefits are seen over time. Should you wish to use multiple Retinol products, we do not recommend layering products at once, but can be used at different times of your day/night regimen.

• Can I use retinol if I’m going to be in the sun?

  Retinol products can be safely used on sunny days. A formula containing SPF 30 like RoC RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer SPF 30, RoC MULTI CORREXION Hydrate + Plump Moisturizer SPF 30, or MULTI CORREXION Even Tone + Lift SPF 30 will provide adequate protection for the sun’s rays.

• Can someone with sensitive skin use a retinol product?

  If you have concerns about skin sensitivities, we recommend conducting a patch test by applying a small amount of product to the inside of your wrist or neck overnight. If the product is well-tolerated, begin by using it every other night for at least two weeks. After this initial period, you can gradually increase the frequency of use until you're using it regularly in your routine.

• When did RoC develop the methods needed to stabilize and package retinol in its pure and effective form?

  In 1955, the RoC brand was the first to develop a pure and stabilized form of Vitamin A – retinol – which was used on the visible reduction of wrinkles.

• Can you tell me the percentage of retinol in your products?

HYALURONIC ACID

• What is Hyaluronic Acid?

  Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule essential for skin’s hydration with the ability to attract water to your skin. Your skin naturally produces Hyaluronic Acid, keeping it plump and hydrated.

• What does Hyaluronic Acid do for your skin?

  Hyaluronic Acid replenishes hydration levels in skin to achieve a visibly plumper, firmer complexion. Like a sponge, it locks in moisture for a visibly plump, smooth, and healthy appearance.

• Does Hyaluronic Acid negate the effects of retinol and keep itfrom working?

  The two compounds work effectively when paired together. Hyaluronic acid is used to hydrate the skin and retinol is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production. When layered together, this combination visibly boosts skin’s firmness by 1.5X and increases Hyaluronic Acid levels by 7X for visibly smoother skin.

SWERTIAMARIN

• What is Swertiamarin?

  Swertiamarin is a bioactive molecule known for its regenerative properties and its extraordinary ability to quickly repair damaged skin.

• What does Swertiamarin do for your skin?

  This skin renewing ingredient supports the rapid formation of new surface layers to re-volumize, resurface and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It works in the top layers of the skin to kickstart cell turnover to re-volumize skin and reduce the look of surface lines and wrinkles.

• What is Vitamin C?

  Vitamin C is one of the most effective antioxidants that addresses multiple skin concerns, especially dullness.   By incorporating Vitamin C in your skincare routine, your skin will begin to appear visibly brighter and tighter. Vitamin C can also help prevent key skin concerns including dark spots and loss of firmness.

• Are RoC products safe?

  Every RoC product is scientifically crafted and tested to ensure the highest quality. Our lead scientists will investigate up to 1,000 ingredients before arriving at the ideal formula. Once the formula is crafted, it goes through rigorous testing to determine its safety and effectiveness. Our formulas are developed to deliver the highest efficacy while ensuring they are safe for use as directed. RoC conducts extensive safety, clinical, and consumer testing on every formula.

• Where are your products made?

  Most products are manufactured in the US from globally sourced materials and ingredients. However, Deep Wrinkle Targeted Patches are manufactured in Korea and all serum capsules are manufactured in Italy.

• Are your products hypo-allergenic?

  All RoC products are evaluated for hypo-allergenicity and at present, all have passed.

• Are your products non-comedogenic?

  All RoC products are non-comedogenic, meaning that they are non-acne causing and do not clog pores.

• Are your products gluten-free, dairy-free or soy-free?

  All the ingredients we use in our products are clearly listed on the package or label using the standard industry FDA-recognized names. By reviewing the ingredients listed on our products, you can easily identify any ingredients that may be of concern to you.

• Do any of your products contain parabens?

  At present, all RoC products are free from parabens, except for Line Smoothing Daily Cleansing Pads. Although we are always exploring alternative preservative options for our products, we have determined that parabens are the safest choice for the products in which we currently use them. For these products, we adhere to the safe quantity limits established by scientific and regulatory entities.

• Do any of your products contain artificial dyes or colors?

  Some of our products may contain colorants.

• Do any of your products contain mineral oil?

  Our products do not contain mineral oil.

• Do any of your products contain lead?

  Our products do not contain lead.

• Do any of your products contain mercury?

  Our products do not mercury.

• Do any of your products contain lanolin?

  Our products do not contain lanolin.

• Do any of your products contain microbeads?

  Our products do not contain microbeads.

• Do any of your products contain PFAs?

  Our products do not contain PFAs.

• Do your products contain any peanuts, tree nuts (all nuts),pumpkin seeds, eggs, and peppermint?

  Our products do not contain any peanuts, tree nuts, pumpkin seeds, eggs, and/or peppermint.

• Do any of your products contain alcohol?

  Some products may contain generic cosmetic alcohol.

• Do you use synthetic ingredients in your products?

  Some products may contain synthetic ingredients.

• Have your products that contain sunscreen been approved by the FDA?

  Our products that contain sunscreen are FDA approved.

• Do your SPF products contain benzene?

  Our products are not formulated with benzene.

• Are your products safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding?

  Always talk to your doctor/primary care physician before starting a new skincare routine, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• How do RoC products affect tanning oils/lotions?

  We recommend checking with your dermatologist for a recommended skincare regimen after undergoing any type of tanning.

• Can I use RoC products if I get chemical peels?

  We recommend speaking with a dermatologist or healthcare professional.

• Can I use RoC products while micro-needling?

  We recommend checking with your dermatologist for a recommended skincare regimen after any dermatological procedure.

• Can I use your products in conjunction with other brands ofRetinol products? Or products in general?

  We recommend checking with a dermatologist or health care professional before use.

• Is your packaging recyclable?

  The secondary packaging of our products, which is cardboard, is recyclable. Any package that contains plastic is not recyclable. RoC is constantly improving the recyclability of its products, e.g., we recently moved many of our products to Aluminum tubes.

• Are your capsules biodegradable?

  Our biodegradable capsules are naturally derived from seaweed.

• In what order should I apply my skincare products?

  A good skincare routine usually involves a combination of cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and protecting your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays. Your skincare routine may vary depending on your skin type and concerns, and you may also incorporate other steps such as exfoliation or eye cream. The key is to find a routine that works for you and to be consistent with it for healthy, glowing skin.

• How long should I wait in between applying products?

  Hello, the best general rule is to wait until each product feels dry before moving on to the next one.
